Centre 64 Offers a Group Exhibition by Artist Exploring "Altered" Modes of Presentation

Just before his State of the City presentation in early February, Mayor Don McCormick gave us an overview of what we did in 2019:

The Full Conversation - Mayor Don McCormick - “State of the City” — February 2020

Overall, Kimberley (BC) made substantive progress in 2019 ... and there's much more to be done.

•• Change ••

Kimberley continues its transition from a mining town to a modern, innovative city ... with no end in sight.

•• Asset Sales ••

Selling city-owned assets continues to be controversial. The Mayor makes the case for the sales.

•• Housing ••

With $32 million in building permits, Kimberley is keeping up with population growth, but still faces a serious housing shortage.

•• Leading ••

Kimberley (BC) is leveraging its willingness to innovate into sound community development. Recognition and publicity follow. With $32 million in building permits, Kimberley is keeping up with population growth, but still faces a serious housing shortage.

•• CBT ••

The $63 milllion that CBT currently distributes in support of the Basin's 175,000 people is focused on more than 40 specific programs thoughtfully designed to improve the lives, communities and futures of those people.

•• Growth ••

As new people move to Kimberley based on its "livestyle" and "vibe", the City will change. There's a "symbiotic" relationship amongst the old, the new and the changes they forge together. The City serves as a facilitator for the people and the changes.
